How it works
- Open from Gmail. Click the Mail Merge icon in your Gmail sidebar.
- Connect a sheet. Pick from Drive, or create a starter sheet in one click.
- Write the template. Compose your subject and body. Click any column name to insert a merge tag like {{First Name}}.
- Preview each one. Step through every recipient’s actual email before anything sends.
- Send. One click. Mail Merge sends each personalized email through your Gmail.
What it does
- Personalized subject and body. Merge any column from your sheet — names, companies, dates, custom variables. The template stays one document; each recipient gets their own.
- CC and BCC support. One address or many per recipient. Comma-separated, just like Gmail expects.
- Drive attachments per row. Paste a Drive URL into an Attachment column. Mail Merge attaches each file to the right recipient.
- Auto-PDF conversion. Google Docs and Sheets attachments are converted to PDF on the way out — recipients see a real document, not a permissions wall.
- Preview every email. Before any send fires, step through each recipient’s exact message and attachment thumbnails.
- Smart guardrails. Skips blank rows. Warns on bad email addresses or broken attachment links. You see the problems before you send, not after.

Privacy
Runs inside your Google account. That’s the whole story.
- No outside servers. Mail Merge runs as a Google Workspace add-on. Your sheets, your emails, your attachments — they never leave Google’s infrastructure under your account.
- No third-party analytics. We don’t track what you write, who you send to, or what you attach. The only data we keep is which sheet you connected most recently, stored under your account.
- We don’t sell or share data. Your recipient lists, message content, and attachments are yours. We don’t share them with anyone, ever.
- We don’t train AI on your data. Nothing you write, send, or attach is used to train any model — ours or anyone else’s.

One honest note about limits
Mail Merge sends through your own Gmail account, so it respects Google’s daily sending limits — 500 emails per day for personal Gmail, 2,000 per day for Google Workspace. Mail Merge rate-limits sends to keep you safely inside those limits and tells you if a run would exceed them before anything goes out.
