First, you’ll learn why the Zapier SDK gives your agent more flexibility than MCP, which limits you to a pre-built menu of actions.
Next, you’ll install the SDK in Claude Code in just a couple of minutes, connecting your Google Calendar and Gmail through Zapier’s managed authentication.
You’ll then test it out with simple tasks, like pulling your calendar events and reading your unread emails, all through natural language.
Afterward, you’ll build a full daily briefing that combines your meetings, important emails, and newsletters into one summary, complete with links to dive deeper.
