INSTALL VOICEMOD
This should take less than 5 minutes to get your computer setup with the free Voicemod software.
- Go to the Voicemod website.
- Click the “Download Voicemod for Free” link.
- Run through the installation process
- This installs the Voicemod software to your PC.
OPENING VOICEMOD FOR FIRST TIME
- Open VoiceMod software. This will put you into their first run experience to get your computer setup.
- Click the Get Started! button. This will activate your Voicemod account and will redirect you to your internet browser. Once this completes, you can head back to your Voicemod application.
- Select the microphone and speaker you want to use with Voicemod. Selecting them will provide you audio feedback.
- Say something and you will hear your voice changed.
- Click Continue button.
- Click the “All done!” button to close out the wizard and use Voicemod.
USING VOICEMOD
- Click VoiceBox button in the upper right hand corner.
- For a free voice, click on the voice you want to use from the “Today’s Free Voice’s” list in the middle of the screen and it will become active.
- To use one of the other voices listed under PRO, you can click the voice you’d like to use but you will need to upgrade to Voicemod Pro and provide your payment information to unlock the additional voice options.
- To preview the voice, in the bottom left hand corner toggle the “Hear Myself” option on and start talking. You will now be able to hear yourself with the voice changing applied.
- You can also toggle the “Voice Changer” off to turn off the voice changing affect.
- And you can toggle “Background Effects” on as some of the voices come with background effects that can be enabled.
- The voice also allows you to further customize the voice with the settings in the right hand corner. A cool option to change is the Character which changes the voice actor used for the voice.
- You now know how to use VoiceMod to change your voice.
USING VOICEMOD IN AN APP (DISCORD)
- Open your application that you want to use Voicemod in to change your voice.
- In this example, I’ll walk through how to change your voice in Discord.
- Navigate to the Voice and Video Settings for the application.
- For Discord, these settings are available off “User Settings” (in bottom left hand corner) -> “Voice & Video”
- Change the following settings:
- Change the Input Device to “Microphone (Voicemod Virtual Audio Device (WDM))”
- This ensures that VoiceMod can use your audio to properly change your voice.
- You do not need to change the Output Device.
- Toggle “Automatically determine input sensitivity” to Off.
- Toggle Noise Suppression to Off.
- Toggle “Noise Reduction”, “Echo Cancellation” and “Automatic Gain Control” to Off.
- This ensures that VoiceMod can use your audio to properly change your voice.
- Change the Input Device to “Microphone (Voicemod Virtual Audio Device (WDM))”
- Now when you join a voice chat or make a call through Discord, your new changed voice will be used.
- To change the voice use in Discord, open up VoiceMod and change the voice selected.
- To turn off the voice used in the application, select the “Clean” voice. Or alternatively, turn off the “Voice Changer” toggle.
USING VOICEMOD ON A PHONE CALL (GOOGLE VOICE)
- Open your application that you want to use Voicemod in to change your voice.
- In this example, I’ll walk through how to change your voice in Google Voice.
- Click on Audio Settings in the top right hand corner.
- Change the Microphone to “Microphone (Voicemode Virtual Audio Device)”
- Click away and then you can make a call using your modified voice with Voicemod.
