But there is also a higher bar for the system requirements. Find out if your system will qualify for a free upgrade to Windows 11 or whether you’ll need to either upgrade your hardware.

- Install the open source compatibility checker
- Visit https://www.whynotwin11.org
- Click the “Download latest stable release” link.
- Navigate to Downloads folder on your PC.
- Double click the WhyNotWin11.exe application to launch the compatibility checker
- The open source combability checker will let you know if your PC is compatible. If all the results show Green OK boxes like the below, then your PC is compatible!
