In this step-by-step tutorial, learn how to change your YouTube channel name. You’ll learn how to update your YouTube channel name on both desktop and mobile. We’ll start with desktop and then shift to mobile. Along with changing the channel name, we’ll also update the profile picture. The channel name and the profile picture show up on your channel page, under every single video, and within the comments when you interact with viewers. Once we review how to change your YouTube channel, I share three strategies for choosing a good channel name. First, your name should be short and memorable. Ideally, it’s easy to pronounce and write. This makes it easier for viewers to find again in the future. If your channel names appears earlier in the alphabet, you’ll also show up higher in subscriber lists. Lastly, I discuss whether it makes to use your personal name or a more generic name for your channel.
