Fun Secrets in Microsoft Products

Learn about some of the best secrets in Microsoft products from a former and a current Microsoft employee. Surf in Microsoft Edge, insert placeholder text into Word, enable God Mode to access the master control panel, use an undocumented function in Excel to calculate the difference between dates, and play games in Cortana.   • Add placeholder text into Word with these functions: =rand() or =lorem() To specific paragraphs and sentences, insert parameters e.g. =rand(3,5)
  • To create god mode folder, create a new folder and enter: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
  • To calculate the difference between dates, use Datedif(START DATE, END DATE, “Y”) function. Enter Y for year, M for month, or D for day.
