Build your first UiPath automation from scratch using Studio Web and Automation Cloud. In this step-by-step walkthrough, you will create a complete invoice approval workflow that watches a Google Drive folder for new PDF invoices, downloads the file, extracts key fields with Document Understanding, and then sends that data to an AI decision agent.
If the invoice meets your criteria, UiPath automatically moves it to an Approved folder. If it needs a second look, you will add a human-in-the-loop review step using an Action App task, then route the invoice to Approved or Rejected based on the reviewer’s decision.
By the end, you will understand the core building blocks of agentic automation in UiPath: triggers, connectors, RPA workflows, document extraction, AI agents, gateways, and approvals, plus how to publish and monitor everything in Orchestrator.
