Deleting your Instagram account in 2025 doesn’t have to be a hassle—this step-by-step guide will show you exactly how to delete Instagram account like a pro.
First, tap on your profile icon to access your profile page.
Next, tap the three lines in the top-right corner to open the menu.
Since Instagram loves to move things around, use the search box to type “Del” and select “Deactivation or Deletion.”
Then, if you have multiple accounts, tap on the one you want to delete.
You’ll see two options: Deactivation, which is temporary, and Deletion, which is permanent.
Choose Delete Account, then tap Continue to move forward.
Instagram will ask why you’re leaving—select a reason and tap Continue again.
